I was born and raised in Indianapolis, IN, but have since fallen in love with New Haven since coming out here to attend Yale Divinity School in 2005. Having graduated with a pastoral ministry degree, I floated between bioethics, nursing research, and public health before seeing the light and beginning work this year as a pastoral assistant at Christ Presbyterian and a campus minister with Athletes in Action at Yale. I basically want to be a part of a community(ies) that embodies in a specifically New Haven way God’s love in Christ. If that sounds boring, then that’s exactly our point (!), the church probably hasn’t done a good enough job of doing that yet. I look forward to engaging New Haven more, expanding my horizons (as cliche as that sounds, it’s true! and even saying that is cliche, but, alas…) and exploring the possibilities of a loving community – and all through The Grove.
I was a semi-professional cyclist before pursuing the ministry and always seeks more ways to merge my two loves as much as I can – discussing a good book on a good ride!
