Kelly is the Executive Director of The Stewardship Foundation, a non-profit organization that supports foster youth in higher education. Over 20,000 foster youth age out of the system every year and only 2% go on to receive a four-year degree, despite that over 70% of youth in foster care express a desire to go to college. The foundation provides funds for a student’s everyday living expenses that are not covered by financial aid but are part of the college experience.
